Studio Owner & Teacher

Jael Sahar

Hi, I’m Jael, founder of Pilatesbyme.

My journey with movement began long before I discovered Pilates. As a child, I was a passionate ice skater and spent countless hours on the ice, training, competing and developing a deep appreciation for movement, discipline and the incredible capabilities of the human body. Skating taught me determination, focus and perseverance, but it was also through skating that I experienced an injury that would unexpectedly change the course of my life.

During my recovery, I was introduced to Pilates. What initially began as rehabilitation quickly became something much more significant. I experienced first-hand how Pilates could restore strength, improve body awareness, prevent injuries and create a stronger connection between body and mind. I was fascinated by the method and the remarkable results it produced, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.

My passion for understanding the human body led me to pursue further education in movement and fitness. I studied at SAFS Sports School in Zurich, Switzerland, where I became a certified Personal Trainer. I am also a certified Body Balance Pilates Teacher and hold a diploma in Anatomy Studies. Throughout my career, I have continued to invest in my professional development through numerous workshops, trainings and continuing education courses. I believe that learning never stops, and I am committed to continually expanding my knowledge to provide the highest quality guidance and care to my clients.

For many years, Pilates remained a passion that accompanied me through different stages of life. While working in various office jobs that never truly felt like the right fit, I continued to teach, learn and deepen my understanding of the Pilates method. Pilates was always the place where I felt most connected, inspired and fulfilled. No matter where life took me, I kept returning to the studio, to learning, and to helping others experience the same benefits that Pilates had brought into my own life.

As a proud wife and mother of three, I understand how challenging it can be to balance family, work and personal wellbeing. Like many of my clients, I know what it feels like to juggle responsibilities while trying to make time for yourself. Pilates became not only a profession but also an anchor in my own life—a way to reconnect with myself, build strength, manage stress and create balance amidst the demands of everyday life.

Over time, my dream of creating a studio that reflected my own values and vision became stronger. I wanted to create a place where people feel welcomed, supported and truly seen. A place where quality matters more than quantity, where clients are not just names on a booking list, and where movement is approached with care, intelligence and purpose.

That dream eventually became Pilatesbyme.

From the very beginning, my vision was to create the kind of studio I would personally love to attend. A boutique studio where every client receives individual attention, where progress is celebrated, and where people of all ages and abilities feel comfortable walking through the door. Whether someone is completely new to Pilates, recovering from an injury, preparing for surgery, improving athletic performance or simply looking for a healthier way to move, they deserve a supportive environment and expert guidance.

I am deeply passionate about the classical Pilates method and the incredible results it can deliver when taught with precision, consistency and respect for the original principles developed by Joseph Pilates. While fitness trends come and go, I believe that quality movement, proper technique and a strong foundation will always remain timeless.

My teaching style combines attention to detail with warmth and encouragement. I strive to create lessons that are challenging but accessible, structured yet enjoyable. Every client is different, and one of the aspects I love most about teaching is helping each individual discover what their body is capable of achieving. Seeing clients stand taller, move more freely, reduce pain, gain confidence and develop strength is one of the greatest rewards of my work.

At Pilatesbyme, we offer private sessions, duet training, Reformer classes and RefoMat classes. Regardless of the format, my goal remains the same: to help clients move better, feel stronger and build a healthier relationship with their bodies. Pilates is not about perfection, comparison or achieving an unrealistic ideal. It is about creating a body that supports you in everyday life and allows you to continue doing the things you love for many years to come.

One of the things I value most is the community that has grown around Pilatesbyme. Over the years, many clients have become much more than regular visitors to the studio. We celebrate successes together, navigate challenges together and share a genuine connection through movement. Creating this sense of community and belonging is something I am incredibly grateful for and proud of.

When you visit Pilatesbyme, you can expect a warm welcome, high-quality instruction, professional equipment and a calm, supportive environment where your individual goals matter. Whether you are stepping onto a Reformer for the very first time or have years of Pilates experience, you will be met exactly where you are in your journey.

Pilates has transformed my own life in ways I could never have imagined when I first walked into a studio after my skating injury. Today, it is a privilege to share that journey with others and help them discover their own strength, confidence and potential through movement.

I look forward to welcoming you to Pilatesbyme and being part of your Pilates journey.

Teacher

Melissa

I used to be a dive master for a Dive School in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, due to the heavy tanks that we had to carry everyday I started to have lower back pain, so I started looking for a form of exercise that would help me to decreased my everyday pain. I found Pilates in 2005 and was immediately impressed with the changes I saw to both my body and mind. Not only the pain disappeared but I felt stronger, more flexible and my overall wellbeing was greatly improved.

I was hooked by the amazing benefits of this art so I decided to start my professional education.

Unfortunately many changes occurred in my life at that time so I had to stop my Pilates studies but I have never stopped practicing. It was not until last year that I decided to finally continue my studies and I found a great Pilates Academy in Spain.

In April 2021 I completed my certification as Mat and Pilates Equipment Pilates Instructor by Pilates Evidence Academy in Spain.

I have done workshops such as Postnatal and Anatomy of the Spine with the same Academy. I have taken several workshops including myofascial release.

I am thankful for the opportunity Jael has given me in her beautiful studio and committed to work together with you on building a stronger, more confident and more resilient you.

Teaches Mondays and Tuesdays evenings and Sunday mornings.

Teacher

Juliane

Hi, I’m Juliane – and I’ve been in love with movement for as long as I can remember.

From childhood ballet and Olympic gymnastics to tennis, track and field, running, and dancing. Movement has always been a joyful part of my life. In my early twenties, I discovered Yoga and Pilates Mat work and was immediately drawn to this new way of moving, strengthening my body while staying flexible and connected to myself.

Then life got busy. Work and motherhood (I’m a proud mom of three!) shifted my daily habits. Long hours at a desk and little time for myself began to take a toll.

In my late thirties, I knew it was time for a change. I began personal training sessions and, in 2021, I started Pilates Reformer with Jael. The results were transformative—less back pain, improved posture, more strength and flexibility, and a real boost to my mental well-being.

With a deep curiosity for how the body works and a growing passion for the benefits of Pilates, I made the leap to become a certified teacher. I’m currently studying with the internationally renowned BASI Pilates Academy – and loving every moment of the journey.

I’m excited to now be part of the teaching team with Jael and Melissa, and I can’t wait to support you on your own path to physical and mental well-being.

Join me for a class on Thursday evenings – I’d love to meet you!

Teacher

Kasia

Hi I’m Kasia! I discovered Pilates during the pandemic times and never looked back. What started as an online workout to counterbalance my corporate sitting job and fix a progressively developing lower back pains quickly became a practice that brought me strength, calm, and focus — and eventually led me to enroll BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training in 2024. My journey is proof that Pilates is for everyone, at any stage of life. I love its science-based approach and the way it supports both body and mind, and I’m excited to share that experience with my clients.
